so...today, after school, we get a knock at the door.

to my surprise, its the mailman, telling me that we need to pay for a postcard for it had been sent thru airmail or some shit like that...20 cents. no big deal.

so i give him the 20 cents and he gives me the postcard...from huntington beach.

I dont know anyone who lives in huntington beach, but it wasn't for me anyways...it was for my mom.

being the nosey nelly that i am, i read what it said...two lines in all.

"How's things? How's Emily?"

Then a thought strikes me...what if it's my dad? I know that he lives in California but IDK where.

I show it to my grandma and she says 'i think it's ur dad...15 years..wow'

So i call my mom and ask her if she had any contact with him lately because she had said that she would have called him if i wanted to...and she said no.

so, i wait until she gets home and she looks at it...she tells me that she thinks that it is...and she found a web address on it (a company sticker) and goes to the website...

a website for architecture (which is what i want to be and am really good at)...she looks at the number on the site and calls it..

and sure as shit.

its my dad

she leaves a voicemail asking him to call her back.

IDK what the hell im going to do.

My dad, who hasn't talked to me at all in 15 years (no birthday cards, no phone calls, no nothing) is contacting me...i'm scared. idk what the hell to do.

well, i shall keep you updated.
